Ayesa bags contract of Central Vista APM Metro’s Design from DMRC

NEW DELHI (Metro Rail News): Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) awarded Ayesa India Pvt. Ltd. an Rs. 7.48 crore contract for the Detailed Design Consultant (D.D.C.) service of a new Automated People Mover (A.P.M.) system under Delhi’s Central Vista.

This company and its Spanish parent company Ayesa Ingeniera y Arquitectura S.A.U, submitted a bid for this contract (Package DCCD-04). They would create and suggest alternative designs for all civil, architectural, building service, electrical, and mechanical works.

The roughly 3 km long underground A.P.M. ring line in Delhi, which has four proposed stations, will link the Central Secretariat Station, which serves the yellow and violet lines of the Delhi Metro, with new governance structures that will be constructed as part of the Central Vista Redevelopment project.

Then, in May 2022, DMRC issued a tender notice for its D.D.C. contract with an Rs. 8.07 crore estimated value and a 2880-day (7.89 years) deadline. Finally, technical bids were disclosed in August, revealing that four design and engineering firms had submitted a bid.

The project’s scope includes the Engagement of a Detail Design Consultant (D.D.C.) for Civil, Architectural and Building Services, including E and M work for the proposed underground Automatic People Mover (A.P.M.) system at Central Vista.

DMRC prepared the system’s Detailed Project Report (D.P.R.), expecting a peak demand of 20,000 passengers per hour during morning and evening hours.
