PUNE (Metro Rail News): Maha Metro MD, Brijesh Dixit met Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde, today in Mumbai and greeted him on assuming the charge of Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Assuring all help, Shinde asked MD to come up with all the issues related to Metro Projects. The Director (SP) Anil Kokate accompanied MD in the meeting with CM.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who earlier held the portfolio of Urban Development Ministry, had been reviewing the Maha Metro Projects.
The Metro services of Nagpur Project on Aqua Line from Lokmanya Nagar Metro Station to Sitabuldi Interchange on 28th January 2020 and from Sitabuldi Interchange to Kasturchand Park Metro Station on 20th August 2021 were inaugurated in his presence.
The commercial services of Pune Metro Project were launched on 6th March this year. Shinde launched the initiation of the work by second Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) for the underground stretch between Swargate and Shivaji Nagar of the Pune Metro Project on 5th January 2020.
