CMRL commences phase-2 project in the city

CHENNAI (Metro Rail News): Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) Phase 2 of the project has begun in the city. The Powerhouse in Kodambakkam to Poonamallee segment via Vadapalani and Porur has a June 2025 deadline, while the rest of the corridor has a December 2025 deadline.

The pillars were built near Porur Lake in the centre of the Mount-Poonamallee route, according to the officials. A 3-kilometer stretch of this elevated route has been built.

Workers are blocking traffic on several parts near Porur to prepare the site for construction, according to a report published by the Times of India.
