Delhi Metro | CMRS completes inspection of Durgabhai Deshmukh-Lajpat stretch

The stretch of Pink Line from Deshmukh college to Lajpat Nagar is expected to start off by this month.

New Delhi: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) pink line was inspected by the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS).  The stretch from Durgabai Deshmukh college to Lajpat Nagar is expected to commenece by this month. This 8 km stretch includes two inter-change facilities from INA and Lajpat Nagar.

This stretch is also a part of pink line’s 59 km Majlis Park to CMRS. The senior DMRC official stated the inspection took place yesterday. Earlier inspection scheduled to be held on 23 July and was postponed by a day.

A pink line comes under Delhi Metro Phase III. The news stations are Sir Vishveshariah Moti Bagh, Bhikhaji Cama Place, Sarojini Nagar, INA, South Extension and Lajpat Nagar.

The shopping lovers will be most benefitted from this metro line as it now connects Sarojini Nagar. It is one of the most famous markets in Delhi. The third stretch is from Lajpat Nagar to Shiv Vihar. it will be opened into two parts as there are land acquisition cases with trilokpuri section.

Pink Line is the longest line after the blue line. It connects Delhi in U shape pattern. however, it will soon connect almost all the lines. The pink line is also called the ring road line as it passes the ring road in Delhi. This metro line will provide the highest connectivity to places and will completely operational by the end of this year.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will soon reach 296 km. This will reduce the time and provides great connectivity. This metro line is expected to start by early next month.
