NEW DELHI, INDIA (Metro Rail News): The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) opened technical bids of Rs. 1365 crores underground tunnel work contract (package DC-07) of Delhi metro phase-4. On 18th August 2021, six multinational construction firms bid to construct a 6.981 KM long tunnel, including three metro stations, about the upcoming Aerocity-Tughlakabad corridor (Silver Line).

SCOPE OF WORK

Design and construction of underground UP and Downs Tunnels by shield TBM from end to cut and cover existing Sarita Vihar depot, underground ramp and cut and cover tunnels near Sangam Vihar and Tughlakabad metro station and underground metro stations at Maa Anandmayee Marg, Railway Colony on Aerocity Tughlakabad corridor of Delhi metro rail project phase-4.

  • Afcons Infrastructure Ltd.
  • Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co. (STEC)

Tenders for the above contract package was invited in May 2021 with the estimated cost of Rs. 1365 crores by DMRC. Now, bids have been sent for technical evaluation, and once the review is completed, DMRC will open the financial bids to announce the name of the lowest bidder of the contact.

The 23.623 KM long silver line (Line 10) will connect Tughlakabad to Aerocity with 15 stations built at Tughlakabad, Railway Colony, Tigri, Khanpur, Vasant Kunj, Delhi Aerocity etc.
