Gurgaon Rapid Metro: Information, Route Maps & Project Updates

AN OVERVIEW

Gurgaon Metro Rail Project is the world’s first fully privately financed metro system. It is a single Line Metro with 11 stations.

This system is built and operated by Rapid Metro Gurgaon Limited, a company of Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (IL&FS).

The phase-I project with a distance of 5.1 km connects the Delhi Metro’s Sikanderpur Station.

Important dates:

  • 14 November, 2013: First phase opened for commercial operation
  • 31 March, 2017: Second phase opened for commercial operation
