Jaipur: Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Wednesday flagged off the Jaipur metro train. The metro train will begin its operations for the general public from today. This has made Jaipur the sixth city in the country with a metro.
The 9.63 kilometre elevated stretch has nine stations and connects the Mansarovar and Chandpole areas of the city and is reported as one of the fastest built metros in the country.
The other cities in India with a metro rail facility are Kolkata, Delhi, Bengaluru, Gurgaon and Mumbai.
