Mumbai: The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) issued tender notice for Engagement of Detail Design Consultant (DDC) for Architectural and Building Services including E&M Works and Civil Works for Depot, Stations, Staff Quarters, OCC and Auxiliary structures for Mumbai Metro Line- 5 (Thane – Bhiwandi – Kalyan) Corridor of Mumbai Metro Rail Project.

NIT No. MMRDA/MMRP/MADD-05/2018: Engagement of Detail Design Consultant (DDC) for Architectural and Building Services including E&M Works and Civil Works for Depot, Stations, Staff Quarters, OCC and Auxiliary structures for Metro Line- 5 (Thane – Bhiwandi – Kalyan) Corridor of Mumbai Metro Rail Project. Completion period of work is expected in 30 months.

Sale of Tender Documents will start from From 17.04.2018 (from 1000 hrs) to 11.05.2018 (up to 1800 hrs) on portal https://etendermmrda.maharashtra.gov.in. Pre-Bid Meeting fixed on 27.04.2018 at 1530 hrs at 6th Floor, Old MMRDA Building, B wing, BKC, Bandra (E), Mumbai – 400051, Maharashtra.

Last date of submission of tender documents is 18.05.2018 (up to 1800 hrs) and tender will be opened on 22.05.2018 at 1100 hrs.

The 24.9 km-long Thane-Bhiwandi-Kalyan Metro-5 corridor will have 17 stations and will cost Rs. 8,416 crore. It will be totally an elevated corridor. It will connect Thane to Bhiwandi and Kalyan in the eastern suburbs. The stations include Kapurbawdi in Thane (West), Balkum Naka, Kasheli, Kalher, Purna, Anjur Phata, Dhamankar Naka, Bhiwandi, Gopal Nagar, Temghar, Rajnouli Village, Govegaon MIDC, Kongaon, Durgadi Fort, Sahajanand Chowk, Kalyan railway station and Kalyan APMC.

The line was approved by Chief Minister Fadnavis on 19 October 2016. The MMRDA plans to begin construction of the line by December 2017. It will be ready by 2022.
