Mumbai: The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Ltd., which is responsible for constructing Mumbai Metro 3 has admitted on its own that it lack for facilitating well-equipped laboratories. this replies in the context of Right to Information query to Anil Galgali. “The literature and checks required for the project are being outsourced, through General Consultants for the Mumbai Metro 3 project.” Said by Galgali.
He also said that the application was to learn more, about the independent facilities that MMRCL has in-house for quality control which is done in their own laboratory. The Galgali was briefed by the public information officer and advisor Shrinivas Nandirgirkar of MMRCL that “The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Ltd doesn’t have its own independent facilities like a laboratory for the purpose of quality control. The literature and all checking required in the execution of the Mumbai Metro 3 project is being done through appointed General Consultants.”

Some serious issues like quality control the MMRCL is dependent on the service of outside consultants allergies Galgali and says that this is surprising.

A letter that is addressed to the chief minister Devendra Fadnavis. Galgali demanded that MMRCL should have its own independent laboratory for the execution of the important metro project and a similar independent facility should also be developed by the MMRDA.
In all the districts of Maharashtra for their projects, the government through public work department has created such facilities.
Galgali says “There no reason for the Metro projects not to have in-house quality control mechanism. It cannot be slack”.
The concerned is expressed by the Galgali about the carelessness that has been adopted in the execution of Mumbai metro project.
“Mumbai Metro Line 3 project has fully equipped laboratories in each civil package for testing of construction materials and these quality assurance tests are witnessed by engineers of the General Consultants. The material is to conform to the specifications and must meet the detailed quality assurance protocols laid down in implementation of this project,” says the spokesperson from MMRCL
