Paras RailTech bags contract of Track Work for Delhi Metro Pink Line Extension

NEW DELHI (Metro Rail News): Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) awarded Paras Railtech Pvt. Ltd. a contract worth Rs. 67.67 crores to supply and install standard gauge tracks for the Pink Line (Line-7) Extension of the Delhi Metro.

Longjian – KEC JV is extending the city’s Pink Line in the Delhi Metro Phase 4 project by 12.375 km from Maujpur to Majlis Park. With a 30-month completion deadline, they were given the Rs. 1,080 crores civil construction contract for Package DC-02 in November 2019.

In May 2022, DMRC issued a call for bids for its track-work contract, funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), with an undetermined cost and a 730-day (2-year) deadline. Three bidders were identified once the technical proposals were opened in July: Paras Railtech, Apurvakriti Infrastructure, and Rahee Infratech.

Brief Scope of the project Installation, testing, and commissioning of ballastless track including supply of fastening system, buffer stop, and others for Line-7 ext (Maujpur-Majlis Park) (CH. 0.0M TO CH. 12098.520 M) of Delhi MRTS Project of Phase-IV.

This extension contains eight stops at Yamuna Vihar, Bhajanpura, Khajuri Khas, Sonia Vihar, Wazirabad Surghat, Jagatpur Village, Jharoda Majra, and Burari in addition to a 12.375 km viaduct, bridge over the Yamuna River, and a PWD double-decker flyover.

For the new Pink Line 560-metre bridge over the Yamuna River, Longjian – KEC JV inaugurated their first cantilever construction (CLC) gantry back in March 2022.
