Lucknow: Shri Kumar Keshav, Managing Director, Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) today went on for inspection of the 8.5 km ‘Priority Metro Corridor’ and reviewed the progress of the ‘dream project’ of the Hon’ble Chief Minister. During today’s visit, the Managing Director emphasized on early completion of the Depot work so that the first Metro train is brought to the depot and the trial runs are started as early as possible.

He visited critical locations of construction to ensure that the progress of the project is carried as per his directions so that Metro construction is carried out expeditiously to complete the target for commissioning of the 8.5 km long Metro section between Charbagh and Transport Nagar.

Leaving no stone unturnedto see that the project is completed as per the schedule, the Managing Director has been carrying out his ‘Saturday’ visits every weekend to ensure that the bottlenecks are removed as fast as it can be and the contractorsare able to deliver the result in the quickest possible time.

Today morning, Shri Kumar Keshavfirst visited theDurgapuri Metro Station where the contractor – M/s L&T – is carrying out the civil work for the Station. He asked the contractor to finish the work quickly including the entry/exit of the Station. Then after, the Managing Director inspected the work going on at the Mawaiyaa Railway Crossing where LMRC is carrying out its work for the balanced cantilever span of 255 meters (central span 105 meters; end spans of 75 meters each).

Moving ahead, he inspected the on-going station work at the Singar Nagar Metro Station. The Managing Director further visited the Awadh Rotary where LMRC is carrying out its work for erection of a 60 meter special steel span near the rotary. He asked M/s L&T to start the launching work of the bridge and finish the work as soon as possible.

After this, Shri Kumar Keshav visited the Transport Nagar Metro Station where he oversaw the finishing and the systems work being executed at the station. He also visited the Transport Nagar Depot to take a review of the work being carried out for the Inspection Bay lines and the Maintenance Workshop. He asked the contractor – M/s Sam India Built Well Pvt. Ltd. – who are executing the work for the Depot– to accelerate their pace of work and finish their work early so that the first Metro train is brought to the depot and the trial runs are started as early as possible.

  1. I have around 18,000sqft land 12,Station Road Lucknow. Metro has demarcated it for acquisition. But still there is no news from your side.
