Some Bengaluru Metro Stations to Remain Inaccessible from November 17-19

BANGALORE (Metro Rail News): Bangalore metro will not operate at a few stations from November 17-19. GreenLine services between RV Road and Yelachenahalli will remain suspended. The pre-commissioning works of the line’s southern extension, the Reach 4B project will be done during this period. Trains will run between Nagasandra and RV Road from 7 AM to 9 PM. Reach 4B will have an extended metro line between RV Road and Anjanapura.

According to a statement issued by the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited, train services will resume at 7 AM on November 20. The Commissioner of Railway Safety would inspect the operations of the metro rail for Reach 4B between RV Road and Anjanapura on November 18 and 19, according to BMCRL officials.
According to an official, the construction has been completed and the extended line will soon be ready for operations. The inspection will include analysing the civil, signalling and telecommunication infrastructure, the electrical systems and safety measures.

The Commissioner for Railway Safety will assess whether the safety standards have been met. Ajay Seth, MD, BMCRL was reported saying. “The inspection authority may give feedback and those systems will have to be fixed. It is not necessary that the approvals will be given after the first inspection.”
