
BHUBANESHWAR (Metro Rail News): Indian Railways is conducting the trial runs of the Puri-Rourkela Vande Bharat Express, the second of its kind for Orissa. The trial run is being conducted on the Puri-Rourkela route, which has already begun at 5:00 A.M in the morning from Puri.
The trial run includes the movement of the Vande Bharat Express Train from Puri-Rourkela & back from Rourkela-Puri. It also has halts at stations like Cuttack, Dhenkanal & Ankul. The train leaves Rourkela at 2:10 PM to reach Puri at 9:40 PM, in a total time of 7.5 hours at an average speed of 63.33-65.16 Km/hr.
The train will connect the coastal regions of Orissa with the western regions and boost the connectivity and accessibility between these two. A trial run between Puri & Talcher stations was also held earlier.
