New Delhi: To protect Delhi Metro from terrorist attacks, CISF has prepared three special vans. The vans are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment used to inactivate the racial attack. It is believed that the van has been deployed after repeated inputs of terror attacks by intelligence units.
Security officials says that the van will help in perfecting the safety of the metro. These vans will be sent on the spot to help the security forces during the chemical attack. Bomb disposal and detection squads of Central Industrial Security Force, who took over the security of the Metro, will oversee this van.
The specialty of Bomb Disposal and Detection Van is that it will combine the identification of the bomb and the equipment which is inactive. That too at different places Dog squad units will also be deployed in the van, so that all related units can be reached at the spot for investigation. This vehicle is mainly divided into three parts.
One part will have equipment to identify and deactivate the bomb, while in the second there will be arrangements for the seating of six people of the bomb disposal team. In the third part, arrangements for seating two bomb swords (dog handlers) and dogs have also been arranged. The weight of the special van is 1200 kg and it is fully air-conditioned and automatic. In addition to generator sets and inverters in the vehicle, five points are given specifically for wireless and mobile charging. The window glass is covered with a grill and a ladder has been installed.
There is a flash light around the specialty of the vehicle, so that this light can be used in emergency situations. In view of the possibility of accident in the air-side area at the airport, a safety light has been installed above the vehicle. The color of the vehicle is bright orange, so that it can be identified from a distance.
