Indian Railway Ministry tweeted that no decision on resuming train services from 15th of April

The Railways Ministry tweeted that the Ministry of Railways has not issued any protocol regarding passenger travel during post lockdown period, as has been incorrectly reported in some media reports.

NEW DELHI (Metro Rail News): On Thursday The Railway Ministry denied media reports that declared the decision has been delivered to start the train services from 15th of April announcing that it has not taken any decision like that yet.

The Railways Ministry explained in a statement that it has not declared any protocol concerning the traveller travel in which post lockdown period. The ministry also stated that all stakeholders would be notified whenever the decision would be taken.

The Railways Ministry tweeted that the Ministry of Railways has not issued any protocol regarding passenger travel during post lockdown period, as has been incorrectly reported in some media reports. As and when a decision is taken, all stakeholders would be intimated. Please do not be led by any misleading media report.

The description came after the media reports declared the aspects of protocols that would be followed for commuter travel after the lockdown is lifted. The reports claimed that passengers might need to reach the railway stations well ahead of the programmed departure time of the train.
