BENGALURU (Metro Rail News): Shri Shantanu Roy has taken over as the new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of BEML Limited, commencing his responsibilities on August 1, 2023.
A highly accomplished professional, Shri Shantanu Roy holds an Electrical Engineering degree from NIT Raipur and an MBA in Financial Management. With over three decades of diverse experience in the capital goods industry, he has demonstrated expertise in defense, mining, construction, transportation, and renewable energy sectors.
Prior to his appointment as CMD, Shri Shantanu Roy served as Director (Mining and Construction Business) at BEML and played a pivotal role as Additional General Manager (International Operations)-Marketing at BHEL.
Mr. Roy is recognized for his exceptional leadership qualities, leveraging strong team management and development skills to drive progress. His ability to communicate effectively and manage cross-cultural teams has been instrumental in fostering collaboration and achieving organizational goals.
