CHENNAI (Metro Rail News):Â CMRL has granted the contract to Voltas Limited to carry out electrical, maintenance, and air conditioning works for Corridor 4 construction at Rs 134.9 crore.
According to the press release of CMRL, this contract consists of supplying, installing, testing, commissioning and training in electrical fire protection, ventilation and air-conditioning works.
The work will include constructing 18 elevated stations from Kodambakkam powerhouse station to the Poonamallee bypass metro station, plus a viaduct between the stations, an approach ramp, and a depot in Poonamallee.
Rajesh Chaturvedi, the director of systems and operations of CMRL, and Jayant Deshpande, the business development head for Voltas Limited, signed off the agreement.
