It is explained that the martyr Brig Hoshiar Singh was a resident of Sankhol village in Bahadurgarh, who died in the Indo-China war in 1962. The entire family of Martyr Brig Hoshiar Singh lives in Bahadurgarh and the villagers want to keep the city park metro station named after him in memory of his martyrdom. Brigadier Hoshiar Singh will also be encouraged by the services of the coming generations.

Previously the villagers have met DMRC officials and Chief Minister Manoharlal Khattar several times, but due to lack of concrete assurance they had to start protest. The villagers have demanded to change the name of the City Park Metro station before running the metro trains between Mundka-Bahadurgarh Line (Green Line). The villagers have also warned the government that if this metro station is not renamed after the name of Brig Hoshiar Singh, then they will start a big movement.
