First PSC Box Girder Span Erected on Surat Metro’s CS4 Project

AHMEDABAD (Metro Rail News): Ranjot Buildcon Ltd erected the first PSC box girder of the CS4 package of Surat Metro running between Sarthana & North Ramp. The package lengths to about 4.15 km. 

Ranjit Buildcon was awarded the contract for the CS4 Package of the Surat metro in July 2023 at an estimated cost of Rs 384.47 Crores, including the construction of a 4.15 Km elevated viaduct with four metro stations. 

CS4 Pacage is the fourth and final section of 22.7 Km Line 1, which will connect Sarthana-Dream City via 20 stations. It includes four elevated stations at Sarthana, Nature Park, Varaccha Chopati Garden and Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Kalakunj in the northeast part of the city.

Surat Metro is an under-construction mass rapid transit system consisting of two lines totaling 40.35 kilometers at an estimated cost of 12, 020.32 Crores. The two lines, the Red line & Green line, Connect Sarthana to Dream City with 20 stations in between, while the other connects Bhesan to Saroli with 18 stations.
