Metro Rail News team signs Media Partnership deal for 2nd Smart Cities India 2016 Expo

New Delhi: India to have 100 Smart Cities across 21 States in next 5 years. A total of Rs 98,000 crore has been approved by the Cabinet for development of 100 smart cities and rejuvenation of 500 others. For Smart Cities Mission, Rs 48,000 crore and for Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), a total funding of Rs 50,000 crore has been approved by the Cabinet. The core infrastructure elements are adequate water supply, assured electricity supply, sanitation-including solid waste management, efficient urban mobility and public transport, affordable housing-especially for the poor, robust IT connectivity and digitalization, good governance-especially e-Governance and citizen participation, sustainable environment, storm water drains to reduce flooding, pedestrians, non-motorized and public transport facilities, parking spaces, safety and security of citizens-particularly women, children and the elderly, and health and education.

Metro Rail News team has signed Media Partnership agreement with Exhibitions India Group for providing promotional and media assistance for the grand event 2nd Smart Cities India 2016 Expo. The 2nd Smart Cities India 2016 Expo is being organised by the Exhibitions India Group team supported by Department of Electronics & Information Technology (Ministry of Communications & Information Technology), Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Ministry of Rural Development etc. from 11th May to 13th May 2016 in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India. The trade fair and exhibitions taking place at pragati maidan will continue to bring forth innovative developments transforming our cities. The three days conference will help us in redefining our urban infrastructure.

Over 15,000 trade visitors expected to attend the international exhibition and conference which includes Key government officials, Public Administrations, Entrepreneurs, Research Centres, Engineers, Architects, Consultants, Suppliers & Buyers of relevant technologies etc.

  1. An important move of the Govt. of India. Smart Cities are needed to ease the expansion of existing cities.
