MUMBAI (Metro Rail News): Mumbai Metro One, Axis Bank, and RuPay today announced the launch of the ‘ONE MUMBAI’ Smart Card, which would allow Mumbaikars to travel in a contactless and cashless manner.

This card is an open loop, contactless card with all-in-one multi-utility usage for travel, e-commerce, and retail purchases, among other things. Apart from utilising it to ride on the Mumbai Metro, it can be used for Mumbaikars’ day-to-day buying necessities such as groceries, petrol, dining, utility bills, and so on.

The ‘ONE MUMBAI’ Smart Card is offered in Classic and Platinum editions, each of which is loaded with a slew of offers ranging from:

  1. Domestic Airport Lounge Access is Complimentary
  2. Accident Protection Insurance
  3. Concierge Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  4. Dining offers at partner restaurants
  5. Gaining access to local brand offers

Col. Shubhodoy Mukherjee, CEO of Mumbai Metro One, remarked on the occasion, “We are happy to unveil the ‘ONE MUMBAI’ Smart Card for Mumbaikars, continuing our heritage of offering world-class services.” We anticipate that this card will be utilised by all travellers and will become popular among Mumbaikars who pay digitally.
