Five Company submits bid for ballasted track-work contract of Patna Metro

PATNA, INDIA (Metro Rail News): Five Firms have submitted bids for the standard gauge ballasted track-work contract of Patna Metro New ISBT depot after Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) opened technical bids.

This track-work package PT-08 along with PT-07 for 1200 MT 90 UTS, UIC 60, 13M Class A 880 grade rails are dedicated towards the integrated New ISBT, which will be used to stabilize and maintain trains on both lines of the 30.91 Km Phase-1 project. Its construction contract was awarded to Quality Build-in in December.

DMRC invited bids for PT-08 in mid-January 2021 with an estimate of Rs. 17.97 Crore and completion deadline of 24th Months.

The bids have now been sent for technical evaluation, which can take a couple of months to complete. When that is done, the technically qualified bidders’ financial bids will be opened to reveal who is the lowest bidder and most likely contractor for this package.

Bids for PT-077 are currently planned to be opened on 24th March 2021.
