BANGALORE (Metro Rail News): Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) has won the electrification Contract for Bangalore metro’s Phase 2A & 2B.
Package EPC5-CC
This Contract entails commissioning a 33 KV distribution system, several substations & auxiliary substations, and a SCADA system for the entire ORR line & Airport Line. It entails Bangalore Metro’s 57 km Blue Line entirely.
Scope of the Contract
The contract scope entails Engineering, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 33 KV distribution, 750V DC third rail traction electrification, including traction substations, auxiliary substations and SCADA system for Phase-2A & Phase-2B.

The bids for the package EPC5-CC were invited in September 2023 with an unknown estimate and a 130-week (2.5-year) deadline.
