BHUBANESWAR (Metro Rail News): Bhubaneshwar metro has invited bids for the civil construction packages BBC-04 and BBC-05.
BBC-04
The 7.27 km long BBC-04 package falls in the middle of Bhubaneswar’s 26 km Line-1 and will link Acharya Square and KIIT Square via seven elevated stations. It includes Jayadev Vihar Square, Xavier Square, Rail Sadan, District Centre, Damana Square, Patia Square and KIIT Square.
BBC-05
The 10.970 km long Package BBC-05 falls on the northern end of Line-1, linking KIIT Square and Trisulia Square via six elevated stations: Nandan Vihar, Raghunathpur, Nandankanan Zoological Park, Barang Station, Phulapokhari, and Trisulia Square.

Scope of the contract

Bhubaneshwar Metro Phase 01
Bhubaneshwar Metro Phase 01 will span approximately 26 kilometres from the Airport to Trishulia Square. With an estimated expenditure of Rs 6,255 Crore, the project received approval for its Detailed Project Report (DPR) from the state government on October 7, 2023.
The Metro Rail Project’s central depot will be near Trisulia Square. This depot will house the command and control centre and the essential facilities for stabilising the metro trains.
Connectivity Enhancement
