GUJARAT (Metro Rail News): Railway Minister Piyush Goyal recently informed that the new building hostel of Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail project training institute located in Vadodara, Gujarat has been named for generating a backup quarantine centre to fight against COVID-19. It comprises a complete 168 rooms consisting of 334 beds along with twelve big common rooms, the ministry further added. The Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail is India’s 1st bullet train project.
Currently, 134 quarantine amenities with as much as 6,700 beds are ready across Gujarat, as per a PTI report. As per the record of the state health department, total 11,108 people are under quarantine with more than two-hundred people staying at the quarantine amenities given by the govt where additionally 10,500 people are under home quarantine.

The Railway officials have also been requested to take measures to identify the fields where coaches could be parked. Also, the officials have been requested to see that adequate orders are made to executed electricity supply to all these train coaches for a long time period.
