DMRC Need to take Forest Clearance From MoEF before Expanding Phase-IV metro projects

DELHI (Metro Rail News): The Supreme Court of India has ordered DMRC to get the Ministry of Environment and Forests permission before starting with phase IV of its expansion project.

Therefore, it is mandatory to get the forest clearance from the concerned ministry and direct the Delhi Government to prepare a proper planting plan.

The Bench headed by BR Gavai, BV Nagarathna and L Nagaeshwara Rao issued a direction to the Government of Delhi and DMRC that the future roadmap of planting trees must be submitted before the court within 12 weeks. However, due to the lack of consent, the construction work has been halted, as per the officials of DMRC.
