BSR Infratech emerged lowest bidder for construction of Anjanapura Depot of Bangalore Metro

BENGALURU:  BSR Infratech has emerged as the lowest bidder for the construction of metro rail depot at Anjanapura in Reach-4B Line of Bangalore Metro Rail Project under Phase-2.

As per the financial bids opened on April 12 by Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), BSR Infratech quoted the bid price of INR 58.87 which was lowest among all the bidders.

BMRCL had invited tenders for this work in October 2020 with an estimated cost of INR 69.29 crore and completion period of 20 months. Technical bids were opened on January 9, 2021 in which 8 bidders qualified the technical evaluation stage.

The bid values quoted by 8 bidders are given below –

  • BSR Infratech – INR 58.87 crore
  • RK Infra – INR 63 crore approx
  • NCC- INR 66.86 crore
  • RPP Infra – Trivena Infra JV- INR 72.47 crore
  • Hombale Constructions and Estates – INR 75.45 crore
  • BL Kashyap and Sons – INR 75.80 crore
  • Starworth Infrastructure and Construction – INR 83.72 crore
  • Priya Engineering – INR 85.43 crore

Contract: BMRCL/Phase-2/Reach-4B/Anjanapura Depot/2020/73

Brief Scope: Construction of Metro Rail Depot Structures, Site development works, internal roads & drainage works in Depot area at Anjanapura in Reach-4B line of Bangalore Metro Rail Project, Phase-2.

As BSR Infratech is the lowest bidder, it is likely that BMRCL will award the contract to construct the Anjanapura Depot to the firm very soon in next few weeks. This new depot will support the trains operating on the Green Line with route length of 30.5 km which includes the recently inaugurated section of 6.29 km from Yelachenahalli to Silk Institute in January 2021.
