Uttar Pradesh’s Joint Committee on the Public Sector Undertakings and Corporations (2019-2020) Visits Lucknow Metro

UTTAR PRADESH, INDIA (Metro Rail News): Today, the Joint Committee on the Public Sector Undertakings and Corporations (2019-2020) made an official visit to Lucknow Metro. Under the chairmanship of Shri Ramchandra Yadav who is also a member of the Legislative Assembly, the committee commenced its visit from Sachivalay Metro Station.

The Joint Committee comprised Shri Bahoran Lal Maurya (MLA), Shri Subhash Rai (MLA), MLC Shri Heera Lal Yadav, Shri Santosh Yadav (MLC), and Shri Bukkal Nawab (MLC). The committee comprising members of Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council reviewed the passenger facilities like lifts, escalators, ticket counter and special amenities developed for the differently disabled.

UPMRC’s MD Shri Kumar Keshav also briefed the committee about the technical nuances of the underground metro station. He informed them about the technical procedures that are being followed to maintain balanced air pressure and ventilation system in the underground metro stations of Lucknow Metro. Along with this, to provide an in-depth understanding of the air pressure and ventilation mechanism, he took the committee members to the technical room. CCTVs form an important part of Lucknow Metro’s security unit and its operations were also were explained comprehensively by him.

The committee after completing the visit boarded the metro train from Sachivalay Metro Station to Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport Metro Station. During the train ride, the members of the committee also assessed the interior facilities like intercom, digital display, route map and CCTVs. Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport Metro Station has been awarded for being the fastest constructed underground metro station by Limca Book of Records and its record time completion earned immense praise from the committee members.

The Joint Committee admired the efforts of Lucknow Metro for maintaining high standards, cleanliness and upkeep of smooth operations. They expressed satisfaction with their overall visit to the Lucknow Metro.
